Very foggy and damp this morning.
Went on the Duaringa Historic walking trail, a little over 4kms. Not much to look at, vacant blocks with a plaque and overgrown vegetation.
With the fog finally lifting we headed back to have breakfast and pack up. Departed a little after 9am.
The drive was much more pleasant today with no rain and plenty of sunshine.
Pics along the wayBlackwater.
Drummond lookout.
We have been on this road many times so didn't feel the need to stop other than in Emerald for coffee and Alpha for a fuel top up @$1.92.9
We are staying at the Llyod-Jones Weir, 12 kms south of Barcaldine. Another donation campground. We have a spot right beside the water.
We arrived around 5pm and set up just in time for the sucker truck to arrive and empty the long drop toilets 🤦♀️
Today we travelled 483kms taking the total to 953kms.
