Day 30. Litchfield N.P 2.8.23

Another day of waterfalls and soaking. First we went to Florence Falls. It was beautiful.  The water was cool, very deep in parts and the current too strong for me to make it over to the waterfalls.

135 steps to the bottom.

Swimming area.
Next we moved on down the road to Buley Rockhole for more water play.
This was more my thing. There were lots of small waterfalls and rock pools as well as a couple of deeper ones.

On the way home we stopped in at the Zebra rock mine/shop. Took a few photos and spoke to 1 of the owners. We've decided to come back later today and do a tour. The zebra rock is unique to only this area in the world.

Worlds largest known piece of zebra rock.

We've decided to stay another night so we popped into Batchelor to grab some bread and yoghurt to get us through until we get to Katherine in a few days.

Stopped at the Little Ripper Bar and Cafe to get our caffeine fix.

Continued after our mini science tour.
All except 1 piece is zebra stone.

We were shown/told how to polish the stone and bought a nice piece with stripes and a few bubbles.

Today we travelled 118kms.
